Research Interests
John is a retired Senior Lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Sydney. His primary research area is Aboriginal rock art. John has four years of professional schoolteaching experience in the UK, followed by over 35 years of teaching and research in Sydney. He has published numerous articles, book chapters and books on archaeology, particularly focussed on how to get archaeological insights from rock art. He also has a few publications in teaching and education.
John is the Archaeology consultant for the Aboriginal Astronomy and Sydney Rock Art projects.
